Workshop on a Bioeconomy RTI Strategy for the Danube Region, 14th March 2016
Background
The pilot action of the Danube‐INCO.NET aims at supporting the development of a bioeconomy RTI‐strategy for the Danube Region. The activities include the discussion of current activities, the presentation of an R&I agenda and the identification of potential measures to support the development of the bioeconomy in the Danube Region.
The workshop is the first out of three within the pilot action „Towards a Danube Bioeconomy RTI Strategy for appropriate regional added value chains“ and was organised by BIOS Science Austria. The workshop took place on 14th March 2016, at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management (BMLFUW), Stubenbastei 5, 1010 Vienna.
Objectives
The workshops gathers experts from the Danube Region to:

- Share experiences on bioeconomy-related, national policy initiatives and strategies in the Danube Region
- Identify relevant stakeholders in the Danube region to implement a multi-actor approach in relation to the bioeconomy RTI agenda
- Discuss further needs and requirements for developing a bioeconomy RTI strategy for the Danube Region
